MOAI uses large language models (LLMs) to generate responses based on your uploaded documents. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations. The system may occasionally produce responses that sound plausible but are factually incorrect or not supported by your documents.

Always verify important information independently. Do not rely solely on MOAI's responses for critical decisions, especially in legal, medical, financial, or safety-related matters.

Document Storage and Privacy

Documents you upload are stored in our database and processed to enable search and question-answering functionality. Document contents are split into chunks and converted to vector embeddings for similarity search.

You control document visibility through the public/private setting. Private documents are only accessible to you. Public documents may be accessible to other users of the system.

Do not upload documents containing sensitive personal data, trade secrets, confidential business information, or any content you are not authorized to share.

Third-Party Services

MOAI integrates with third-party AI services (such as OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate embeddings and responses. When you use MOAI:

• Your document content and queries are sent to these external services for processing
• These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies
• We have no control over how third-party providers handle your data

API Keys

You provide your own API keys for LLM services. Your API keys are stored in our database and used to make requests on your behalf. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your API keys secure

We are not responsible for any charges incurred through the use of your API keys.

Prototype Status

MOAI is a prototype application provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time. We do not guarantee data retention or system availability.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of MOAI, including but not limited to damages resulting from:

• Loss or corruption of uploaded documents
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Service interruptions or discontinuation
• Costs incurred through third-party API usage
